How we started
Once upon a time an unknowing woman walked into the bead department of a craft store to purchase materials to fix her broken, favorite necklace. She found the pieces she needed, and more. Buy me! Buy me! You can make me into something pretty, the beads said to her...It's been said that she talks back to the beads. But very quietly. Hence, the name The Bead Whisperer.
That's me! Ever since then I've been beading and love the look, weight and feel of the various beads, especially the semi-precious stones which have varying attributes of healing, good luck, protection and more. I especially like lovely hand-made beads and look for them wherever I go. And pearls! I love pearls. Hand-knotting pearls is such a balm; to me it's like knitting or crocheting is like to other folks.
On these pages you will see some of the things I love, and how I've tried to represent them to you in various forms. People tell me they feel good wearing my jewelry. I hope you will wear some of my jewelry and love it too, or buy it for someone you love.
